We’re incredibly proud that the entire process of steel production and finishing happens entirely within the Netherlands. This makes our weights not only strong and durable but also purely locally made and crafted with love. How amazing is that?
Raw, untreated steel plate
After cutting, the untreated steel plate moves on to the next phase. To make the weight both durable and visually appealing, it needs to be coated.
To the local coater
The steel is carefully blasted to ensure all dirt is completely removed. Next, we take the plates to the local specialist, Coater Kriek in South Holland. Here, the steel receives its protective and attractive coating that ensures it can withstand knocks and looks top quality.
The journey of our weights
It all begins in Varsseveld, on the edge of Gelderland (The Netherlands). There, 247 TailorSteel uploads the 3D model and precisely cuts the steel into the right shapes. Since our 10 kg plates are twice as thick as the 5 kg ones, cutting the larger plates requires extra time and attention.
